It grows best in warm climates and thrives in warmer weather. They are frost-sensitive. So plan for growing paracress during the summer months. Seeds of the paracress plant are quickly grown. After sowing, please do not cover the seeds with soil, as direct sunlight is necessary for their germination. Seeds will germinate and grow just fine if strewn over the ground. Thin the seedlings to about 25 cm apart.
CARE AFTER GERMINATION OF PARACRESS
You have to care a little as the paracress plants are powerful and hardy plants. They don't require much care. The soil must contain high levels of organic matter. The soil needs no additional fertilizer if it has been prepared with lots of organic content. Mulch the plants so you don't overwater them. Mulch will help retain moisture in the soil and help get rid of weeds from your garden. Diseases and insects do not affect the paracress. It won't take you long to figure this out. The plants can be harvested once they have reached a certain size.
PARACRESS AND ITS BENEFITS
As an herb, paracress has a lot of health benefits. About 20 centimeters tall, the annual herb is native to Brazil. The vitamin-rich leaves are used in salads. Brazil considers paracress one of its healing plants, which is why it is chewed to relieve toothache. It creates a numbing sensation, hence the name toothache herb. The sap is also used for insect bites. Indoor seedlings can be grown all year round, but in May, outdoor seedlings can only be grown. Consequently, it's no big deal for you to grow paracress.
