HOW TO GROW KADSURA COCCINEA FROM SEEDS

It is necessary to place the pot with the soil in the shade. Don't keep them in the sun because you'll lose them immediately! Make sure they're always moist. Compost should be of high quality. Anyhow, avoid using peat or cocopeat, etc. There should be very good drainage in the pot. There should be a minimum temperature of 22-24 degrees during the day and 18-20 degrees at night. 

CARE FOR KADSURA COCCINEA AFTER GERMINATION

If you have the mentioned conditions, germination will take 4-6 weeks in a pot. Growing conditions: a warm, sheltered location with fertile, moist, but well-draining soil in full sun or partial shade is ideal. Kadsura is native to Eastern, Southern, and Southeastern Asia, from Sri Lanka eastwards to the Philippines, and from southern Korea and Japan southwards to Java and the Lesser Sunda Islands, with the greatest species diversity in China.

Kadsura coccinea belongs to the Schisandraceae family and is one of Kadsura's medicinally important species. Rheumatoid arthritis and gastroenteric disorders have been treated with it in traditional Chinese medicine. Researchers have previously studied the medicinal properties of Kadsura coccinea, finding that some of the lignans and triterpenoids present in the stem and seed extracts are effective as antitumor, anti-HIV, antioxidative, cytotoxic, and anti-hepatitis agents.
