HOW TO GROW KIWANO SEEDS

It is straightforward to grow Kiwano Fruit from Seeds. Once all frost danger has passed, and temperatures consistently rise above 12 degrees Celsius, you should sow the fruit seeds directly in the garden. Optimum temperatures for germination are between 20-35 Celsius. Plant the seeds 2 to 5 cm deep, two to three seeds high. And allow at least 1 meter between each group. In addition to starting seeds indoors, you can also plant the seedlings outdoors when they have two true leaves.

CARE AFTER GERMINATION OF KIWANO FRUIT

The soil should be kept slightly moist but not soggy after planting. The seeds may germinate in two to three weeks. You need to provide trellises so that the vine can climb. It would be best to give deep waterings per week and allow the soil to dry between waterings. Kiwano horned fruit is native to hot, dry climates. A USDA plant hardiness zone of 10 and higher is suitable for growing melon.
