HOW TO GROW WATERMELON FROM SEEDS
When the ground reaches 20 degrees celsius or more, late spring to early summer is the ideal time to sow watermelon seeds. You must choose a sunny spot to plant watermelon seeds when the weather is hot. Place the seeds three to five feet apart on nutrient-rich, well-drained soil to facilitate plant growth. Sow the seeds an inch deep and water them until they sprout.
HOW TO CARE FOR WATERMELON AFTER GERMINATION
Make sure to sow twice as much seed as you need, then prune off weak seedlings as they begin to sprout. It is essential that you provide enough water for the watermelon. Water the soil regularly but do not wet the leaves. You can also mulch to prevent the soil from drying out. Watermelons take a long time to mature, so you should feed them high-quality fertilizers regularly.
WATERMELON AND ITS HEALTH BENEFITS
Watermelon contains a lot of water and nutrients and is very low in calories and refreshing. The high water content, antioxidants, and amino acids in watermelon make for better workouts. It's also high in potassium, a mineral that's known to reduce muscle cramps. After sweating, you can also drink watermelon juice. This will help you avoid muscle soreness unless you put in too much effort.
