HOW TO GROW LIVISTONA ROTUNDIFOLIA SEEDS

Serdang Palm can be grown from seeds quickly. Plant the seeds in a small container with a very thin layer of soil. Plants buried too deeply in the ground won't sprout readily. Place the container in a warm, humid environment after planting the Table Palm seed. Window boxes in steamy bathrooms would be a great fit. Place the container in a warm location, like a window sill or the top of your refrigerator, if you will not use a plastic bag. The young plants can be transplanted outside in their first summer after sprouting over the winter or in early spring. The seeds will germinate once they are planted.

Serdang Palm or many species of Palm will thrive in dappled sunlight. It isn't recommended to transplant young tree palms until they have three or four leaves, as many species of Palm are susceptible to root shock upon transplantation. So, seedlings of palms should be started in larger pots. The rate of growth for a palm seedling varies with species. Plants grown in partial shade when they are young and in full sun when they are mature do best. If the soil feels dry to the touch in the morning, you may need to water it. Avoid waterlogging conditions. Early monsoon and springtime are the best times to apply organic fertilizer.
