HOW TO GROW CAROLINA REAPER FROM SEED

The temperature and moisture levels must be kept constant and consistent. Seeds of the Carolina reaper should be placed in sterile media and covered one centimeter deep. After that, provide 25 degrees celsius bottom heat with a seedling heat mat, along with bright light, and keep the seeds moist at all times. Typically, seeds will germinate in one to three weeks. However, be patient as this process can sometimes take longer. When the Carolina reaper seedlings sprout, you should brush them with your hands or blow a fan on them every day. Seedlings benefit from this because the stems are strengthened and damping-off is prevented.

CARE FOR CAROLINA REAPER AFTER GERMINATION

After the Carolina Reaper seedlings are a few inches tall with a few sets of leaves, transplant them into pots and grow them until there are six true leaves on the plant. You can start bringing them outdoors once both the daytime and nighttime temperatures get warm enough. Harden off your plants by leaving them out in the sun each day for a couple of hours, working up to leaving them outside for a couple of full days before planting. Transplant them directly into containers of rich soil, and grow them in full sunlight.

USES AND HEALTH BENEFITS OF CAROLINA REAPER

As a sweet flavoring and intense heat, Carolina Reaper chile peppers are most often added to hot sauces and salsas. Peppers can be blended into sauces to flavor chicken wings, cooked meats, pasta, Asian noodle dishes, chilis, stews, and soups. Including them in cheese and red meat dishes is worth it since they're high in carotene, a powerful antioxidant that supports lower cholesterol and triglycerides.
