HOW TO GROW MONK FRUIT SEEDS
Before sowing, soak Monk Fruit seeds for 3-4 days for good results. Under grow lights or in an excellent solar greenhouse, plant plants in a fast-draining mix. Seeds can be sown about five centimeters deep, and the planting area should stay warm and dry. Watering too often seems to discourage germination since the seeds have already swelled up after soaking. Germination may take 3 to 6 weeks. The plants should be transplanted to parts of the garden with rich hills, along with trellising.
LOU HAN GOU CARE AFTER GERMINATION
Monk Fruit alias Luo Han Guo prefers cool ambient temperature 20 to 22C. It grows better with a significant difference in night and day temperatures. Humidity should be high. In partial shade, it does well with at least 7-8 hours of illumination. It also likes diffused light. It is not particularly important what the soil is like, but soils with hummus are preferred. There is no direct sunlight on this exotic liana, but it grows in a warm climate without a nebula.
LUO HAN GUO AND BENEFITS
Another name for monk fruit is Buddha fruit or Luo Han Guo. The leaves are narrow, heart-shaped, 10-20 cm long. Round and smooth, the fruit is spherical. It is covered with hard thin skin with fine hairs. Sweetness increases as the fruit become darker. The taste of arhat resembles a melon. Chinese people have used this extract as a natural sweetener for a thousand years as it is 300 times sweeter than sugar. Diabetes and obesity are treated using the plant in traditional Chinese medicine.
