HOW TO GROW PINK MORNING GLORY FLOWER FROM SEEDS
It's optional to start seeds before the last frost date. However, you should do it between four and six weeks before the later frost date. Alternatively, you can plant them directly outdoors. Morning glory seeds are difficult to germinate, and scarification accelerates the germination process. Afterward, rub them between two pieces of coarse sandpaper for a few seconds before soaking them overnight. Plant seeds about a quarter-inch deep and a few inches apart. Maintaining a moist environment is imperative after sprouting seeds.
CARE FOR PINK MORNING GLORY AFTER GERMINATION
It is ideal for morning glory plants to grow in moist but well-draining soil. Despite poor vine growth, it is still possible to amend the soil. Morning glories can be kept moist by watering them about an inch a week and mulching the roots. As the plant grows, you can reduce its watering schedule once it has been established (and in the winter). Early morning glory is tolerant of both cold and heat, despite its hardiness.
USES AND BENEFITS OF PINK MORNING GLORY
Asian and Mesoamerican countries have used morning glory roots as diuretics and expectorants for centuries. Herbalists also use the leaves to relieve headaches by brewing tea from them. In addition to being a diuretic, anthelmintic, blood purifier, deobstruent, laxative, carminative, and anti-inflammatory plant, it is also used to treat abdominal disorders, fevers, headaches, and bronchitis.
