HOW TO GROW FROM SEEDS HERB ROSEMARY
Try to start the seeds in mid-winter. Seeds of Rosemary take a very long time to germinate, and seedlings grow at a slow pace. The seedlings can be transplanted outside mid-spring, but they need to be started within 10 to 12 weeks before the last frost. The soilless potting mix should be used to fill seed starters. Unlike other plants that grow in rocky or sandy soil, rosemary seeds will perform better in a loose and light potting mix that doesn't contain soil. Each cell should have between three and four seeds. The seedlings can be transplanted outside when they reach the size of pots. A light layer of soil should be applied to the seeds. Sprinkle a minimal amount of regular potting soil over the entire surface of the growing medium to cover the seeds.
CARE AFTER GERMINATION OF HERB ROSEMARY
Once the seeds germinate, plant them out in permanent positions after the last expected frost. Their ideal place would be in full sun, with fertile soil that is not too wet. Despite having a low germination rate, 30cm Rosemary grows well if numerous seeds are planted in each cell. Seeds should not be pressed down into the potting medium; place them on top. Choose a location with full sun. Rosemary requires a lot of direct sunlight to thrive. It is best to place the plant somewhere that gets at least six to eight hours of sun per day.
HEALTH BENEFITS OF ROSEMARY
As an herb, Rosemary has a lot of health benefits. Rosemary has the potential to manage high blood sugar in people with diabetes. Its tea may lower blood sugar. Research on rosemary tea specifically lacks studies, but Rosemary indicates that carnosic acid and rosmarinic acid can influence blood sugar levels similar to insulin. Several studies have shown that these compounds can reduce blood sugar levels by increasing glucose absorption by muscle cells. Study results showed that oral Rosemary took twice daily for one month significantly reduced anxiety levels and improved sleep and memory among college students.
