HOW TO GERMINATE THE SEEDS BIG BLACK BAMBOO

Dendrocalamus Strictus can be grown from seeds. Take some pots with the moistened seed-starting compost and press the compost into the pot to remove any trapped air. Place two black bamboo seeds on the surface of the seed-starting compost. Cover the seeds with a thick layer of compost. Spritz each pot with a water-filled spray bottle to settle the seed-starting compost around the black bamboo seeds. Place near a large window with very bright, filtered light. Set the temperature up to 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Moisten the seed-starting compost with the spray bottle whenever it feels dry on the surface. Do not let the seed-starting compost dry out; the seeds can take a few months to germinate.

CARE AFTER GERMINATION OF DENDROCALAMUS STRICTUS

Dendrocalamus Strictus, the Big Bamboo, can grow under varying light conditions, from full sun to partial shade. Black Big Bamboos look beautiful in pots and containers, but Bamboo Dendrocalamus should plant them in the garden once the seeds are germinated. Plant the little black bamboo in fertile, well-draining soil in either sun or part shade. A spot that offers some protection from the hot afternoon sun is ideal. Space plants are at least 150 cm apart if you are planting for a hedge or screen. It will take only about five or six years for them to reach their full height. Wait only a few years to see the beautiful bamboo.

BENEFITS AND BEAUTY OF DENDROCALAMUS STRICTUS

Black Bamboo is one of the most beautiful bamboo species in this world. Its plants are considered highly ornamental for their culms, transitioning from green to ebony black by the third year of growth. The leaves of black bamboo are evergreen, bright green, and lanceolate in shape. The leaves of the black bamboo trees are antipyretic and diuretic. These leaves can be great for the treatment of fevers, vomiting, and nosebleeds. It would help to harvest Black Bamboo during the growing season and then dry leaves for later use.
